Rational Rose

There is only a restricted number of licenses for Rational Rose, so please exit Rational Rose in the correct manner!

Solaris version

CIP Pool 2b, Harburger Schloßstraße 20, room 0011

1. Log on at a Solaris 2.5.1 workstation (due to an error in Rational Rose it does not work correctly on Solaris 2.6 workstations!)
   

 

• vaire - tested and o.k.
• moria - tested and o.k.
• fili - tested and o.k
• yavanna - tested and o.k.
• aule - tested and o.k.
• kili - tested and o.k.
• nori - tested and o.k.
  

 

2. Define Rational Rose environment in a terminal window:

   module add rational
   

   (There is no response here!)

3. Start Rational Rose (before starting: close Netscape - this may lead to better results in the colouring!):

   rose_cpp
   

   (This may take several minutes!)

4. Work with Rational Rose ... remember to save your work regularly.
5. Exit Rational Rose (menu item in File menu).
6. Log off from workstation
   

NT version

CIP Pool 4, Harburger Schloßstraße 20, room 0014.

1. Log on at a NT workstation in the CIP Pool 4.
2. Open directory Arbeitsplatz/apps of sauron/programme/Rational Rose C++ 4.0
3. Start Rose_cpp
4. Work with Rational Rose.
5. Exit Rational Rose (menu item).
6. Log off from workstation.
